About Lonavala

Lonavala is located in the western part of the Indian state of Maharashtra. This hill station is located 106 km southeast of Mumbai, at an elevation of 625 meters above sea level, among the foothills of the Sahyadri mountain range. That part of India had been ruled by Chhatrapati Shivaji, the founder of the first Maratha Empire. It was afterward ruled by the Peshwa dynasty, who established the second Maratha Empire. When the British demolished the Peshwas, they ultimately took possession. From October to May is the ideal season to visit Lonavala. Summers (April-June) are relaxing, while winters (November-February) are chilly. The weather in Lonavala is good, making strolls comfortable.
